USF18

The smoke is cleared and just about everyone has made it home safely despite some hiccups in getting off the ground.  The Championship event at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club in Long Beach, California was fiercely contested and sailed in a wide range of conditions, yet largely incident-free with only minor capsize-related issues and one port-starboard bump.  Injuries appear to be limited to some sore and stiff competitors and a couple of bruised egos.  All in all, I think everyone had a good time and the host club is 100% sold on having the F18 fleet back again.

We are very glad to announce the 2010 North American F18 Championship will be hosted by the Racine Yacht Club and Catamaran Racing Association of Wisconsin, August 9-13, 2010.  This is a Combined event with Performance Race Week.
